Spanning 63,000 acres, Fort Rucker is one of the largest military installations in the U.S. and is home to:

3. Maxwell Air Force Base & Gunter Annex

Originally established in 1910 as the Wright Flying School, Maxwell AFB became a key training facility for Army Air Corps pilots before evolving into a center for Air Force education and research.
